Description

The BTech WFT program is set out to train assistant welding engineers. They could work in building construction companies as ship building companies and anywhere metal is invovled.

  • The program training goes on for 1 year after a GCE +2.
  • To study in this program, the candidate must have a GCE +2 in Welding Mechanical manufacturing, welding.

OBJECTIVES

    • Graduates would be able to perform welding techniques and understand important of arc welding and other types of welding.
    • Design welding systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly defined engineering problems appropriate to the welding discipline
    • Demonstrate knowledge in welding, welding automation, principles of fabrication, and process integration

Conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and analyze the results while developing solutions to material joining challenges using the characteristics of materials, industrial inspection techniques, welding processes, and manufacturing standards.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
    • A hand written application addressed to the Director;
    • A certified true copy of Birth certificate;
    • A certified true copy of Advanced Level Certificate / Result Slip or school Attendance Attestation for candidates awaiting GCE Avanced level results;
    • 02 passport size photographs;
    • An A4 envelope with postal stamp carrying the candidate’s address;
    • An application form available at the institution or on the website(www.myiuc.com);
    • A medical fee of 5000 Fcfa to be paid after admission and during registration;
    • Application fee : 25 000 Frs.
